There are many individual accomplishments that Apple has made that are worthy of admiration, but overall, I dislike their entire overall business philosophy, and I certainly don't like how they abuse their position to trap customers within their ecosystem. Using proprietary standards constantly so they can extract a license fee, increasing the cost to their customers with no benefit comes to mind.

Plus, as a person who has to support all of their gear, I can tell you that the "it just works" that was at least attempted under Jobs is a relic of the past. My customers have no end of headaches with their great, but for image reasons would never use anything else.

You can't say Apple's marketing isn't effective, but their heat and ecosystem are poorly designed, especially post Jobs.

No but I find it stupid and borderline retarded that the iPad doesn’t get the same or similar treatment as a Jamm phone. You’d imagine the bigger electronic would have the same or at least similar amount of default storage but lo and behold, each update is taking up an extra 2 GB out of the 32 I have. Technically about 24 since the system data and IOS already horde themselves into it no matter what. Absurd. Then you glance at the iPhone and it has a throbbing 100 GB or storage, no subscriptions added on or anything. That makes about as much sense as putting little plastic go Kart wheels on a Grave Digger Monster Truck. L + ratio on those pothead potatoes.

Hate? nope. I'm indifferent toward their products and prices. Phones, laptops and workstation are consumer products and I'm a critical consumer who doesn't care about pseudo image.

Not really. It's not like they force me to buy their products (which are basically polished junk, that can't do more than cheaper counterparts, that aren't junk).

The way they design their products and services and ecosystem and the privacy nightmare and a freedom restricted usage is not something I want to spend my money on. Not to mention the prices they charge for that.

In short - Apple Inc is like a bad habit that I have not even started, so I'm not missing anything. They make money just like all of us want to.

I don't like it either and not even poised to buy any of their products. Products are expensive for no reason. Like the moment a new iPhone is released, the old ones gets slashed in it's price. What does that mean? That you were charging way more than the reasonable price of the product.
And my actual way of looking at it is, for spending that much money on a product, how many poor people can actually be helped with that amount.

Actually, their machines were unbelievably better than PCs.
More solid, more stable, more monolithic, and more advanced.
30 years ago, there was no comparison. A Mac II of any vintage was vastly superior to any PC.

I have never liked Apple. It's not hate, just a strong dislike.

Apple's products are overpriced, force you to do things the Apple way, and forces you to go to Apple for expensive repairs.
