To clarify, I did not mean exclusively for mobile devices.
Apple puts slight changes on already established concepts and call it innovation to Jack up their prices. So the paying a premium for "innovation" is bullshit.

Also, Apple designs their shit to not use the same cables as everything else, so instead of using a micro usb like everything else to charge you need to buy their cables so they make more money.
And don't even get me started on the removing the audio Jack bullshit.

"Apple is trash, change my mind?" It's certainly not trash, it's just mediocre hardware with quality materials used for assembling with a ridiculous high price tag. And no, I won't attempt to change your mind.
"Apple is easily the worst tech company, yet people still buy their overpriced crap. Why is that?" I thought Hitachi and Samsung are the worst but that's just subjective. Maybe let people do their spendings? It's their money after all and you don't have to buy it. Many find value in spending 1000 bucks for a mobile emoji machine, so that you can transform your face into a monkey, chicken, unicorn or a piece of excrement. Where there is demand there is a supplier. And Apple takes advantage of it and to top it all off they invest into marketing a lot more in order to complete that.
So why hate a company, that's taking advantage of making money for little effort and innovations? I can't blame them. And if it wasn't for Apple, then the Android smartphones would have THEIR price tag. All the more reasons to just buy an Android device and be happy with it.
The difference between Apple and other trash companies are that the other companies don't pretend their not trash and charge you enthusiast grade prices for consumer grade hardware.
Apple before Intel was truly a great company. They had a niche product that was outstanding at what it was designed to do. They were legendarily reliable and durable - well worth the price paid if you were in any form of creative industry.
After Intel it just became another overpriced PC, sold on marketing and aesthetics alone. Apple hasn't pioneered much of anything since this time, but arguably still has the strongest marketing sense of any high technology company.
Point of fact: Apple uses Foxconn for design and manufacture of all internal components used in their desktop and laptops. The same company that designs and manufactures (in the same facility, same components, and assembly lines) Acer, Gateway, and eMachines - the three 'shittiest' computer brands known on the market. The difference is perception of the product.
I don't care to change your mind, I agree apple is trash ESPECIALLY WITH THEIR MACBOOKS.
But this is the stone age question Android vs Apple, people need to get over it let people do what they want why does it concern you? I have an iPhone because I love the simplicity of it but I hate the low storage and updates.
But I would never ever even consider for one second getting a macbook, now that is dumb no denying it at all, especially if you're a video editor or gamer they're no good when you can get the same thing on a windows maybe even better.
Apple wise I love their designs on everything very modern sleek. Android wise I like how they have lower end affordable options where as Apple dosent, and Windows tops Mac ANYDAY!
You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit. Apple is shit. But its user friendly. So if you are scared of tech you will buy and love the apple. If you want superior tech you'll buy a galaxy. Im good enough with tech to know the lg sucks too. They make TVs...
Hmm... Apple does use established technology, but just barely. Their products in the computer space tend to be significantly more advanced than PC counterparts and tend to be better integrated.
The cable thing is obvious profiteering, though.
Insofar as the image goes, Apple's Mac OS 9 and predecessors were piles of garbage, although they were often much better than Microsoft operating systems. Mac OS X, on the other hand is based on FreeBSD which has a pretty solid track record and for many years has been considered much faster and more stable than anything Microsoft has produced.
I build computer parts for a living, so I think I'm somewhat qualified to say that Apple hardware is about as good as middle grade to high grade pc hardware, but the problem with that is that they charge enthusiast grade prices for them.
For fun, me and some of the guys I work with built a pc with better specs than one of the newer macs (don't remember which one specifically.) And the one we built cost ~$2800 less than the Mac equivilent.
Good advertising and industrial design. The do design a great looking product.
At least with their phones, their OS is specifically designed for it. AppleCare is also better than most warranties that replace your broken phone with a used one.
But, I don't own any Apple products other than an Ipod. The only useful sized screen to me is on an IPhone X and that's way too overpriced.

The only thing that apple dosnt lose in is storage size. And build value. Everything else is similar or worse, that on it's own is fine, but they charge $250 more because it's "innovative"
ya but thats the s9 dude lol... its the new generation ahead of iPhone x... so thats still not so great when the new iPhone comes out... it will obviously be faster and better... compare s8 with iPhone x...
its 200 more because you are paying for apple software... customer service, and apple stores everywhere... its not just the phone itself.. you are buying into the company in a way
the specs don't mean much... because apple integrates their hardware and software seamlessly... which is why they don't need insane specs
just imagine apple put the same specs into their phone as Samsung... it would be a total blow out but they just don't need too... usually apple wins or is equal to Samsung in single core and multi core performance...
It's true that Apple tends to have better performance per core, but the fact that they lost almost everywhere else and still charge more is stupid.
The Apple software is bad. It drops functionality for accessibility to appeal to people who are not good with technology.
And there is no arguing that Apple has better customer service. I'll give you that. Shitty customer service is what made me learn how to fix phones myself. But it's still no justification for that high of a price markup.
