Why are official company support forums so useless?

I often get better results from community forums like Reddit, Steam, StackOverFlow, StackExchange, GitHub, 4Chan, etc. Hell, even mainstream QA websites like Quora and GaG nets me better answers than official support forums from Microsoft, Samsung, Acer, Google, Amazon, etc. Like I literally had some clown in Samsung Members troll me by trying to gaslight and strawman me, just to prevent me from placing blame on the company for my phone's problems. And a lot of these official forums lack basic features like blocking and muting, so I either stop using them or just do whatever I can to get banned.

honestly i think it might be because we're a community in these forums. we're not professionals, at least not all of us, but we've all might have gone through something similar or need similar help. a huge community full of working brains is better than a company with possibly fewer people who withdraw information to have you buy an upgrade or are just lame at providing proper information.

Yeah and the few regulars in those forums are typically no different than the stereotypical corporate boomer that's passive aggressive, arrogant, out of touch, narcissistic, etc

Like as much as I crap on Reddit and Quora for being leftist echo chambers, they still do provide helpful information on topics like tech, finance, travel, health, education, etc; from what I was told, 4Chan became a former shadow of itself when a lot of people from Reddit started flooding their website, so it's not really a right wing shithole anymore

yk i have never been on 4Chan but i heard a lot of crazy stories from that site. if there is any place worse than reddit it's probably Twitter. i look up a lot of questions and usually find them on reddit or quora so yeah at least it is helpful to a degree
