Why people shouldn’t support Microsoft anymore?

I've noticed a recent trend where people seem to be on a blaming spree, often making unfounded accusations about Disney being the worst, without providing any valid points. However, in reality, it seems to me that Microsoft should bear some of the burden. I recall how they negatively impacted the gaming industry in the 2010s through a lack of content, the transformation of games into virtual casinos, and the hiring of toxic management for franchises like Halo. For instance, Frank O'Connor has had a troubling habit of attacking those who criticize him.

What I find peculiar is that prominent podcasters like Joe Rogan or Brett Cooper rarely address Microsoft's role in shaping the gaming landscape during the 2010s. Please understand, I am not trying to criticize Joe Rogan or anyone else, but it seems odd to me that the only YouTuber who occasionally speaks about Microsoft's impact is Charlie, who goes by the name 'MoistCritical'.

No, you should always support and buy good games.

There were a lot of bad games in the last couple years, from any developer or at least any publisher. Games that were rushed, uninspired, half finished, buggy, underwhelming, didn't deliver on what was promised, ...

Like the buggy mess of nintendos latest pokemon games (Scarlet and Violet) thats at least now is somewhat fixed. Same deal with Cyperpunk 2077 which was selfpublished and developed by CDPR. No Mans Sky, Redfall, the latest Saints Row, FF XV where a lot of content was cut out to save money, only to be released later as DLCs, Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem, ...

But there were also quite a lot of really great games, also from every publisher. But if you don't buy these games, the publishers will stop making them completely.

I believe we are at a turning point, so many half assed games as a service titles failed so hard, because the publishers wanted to make a quick fortune, and more and more games are being pushed back and are given the time they actually need to be finished.

People forgetting about Disney made a lot of good games except not the Pixar ones they made aliens fireteam elite and it had a lot of good content compared to aliens colonial marines Made by EA and Microsoft 💀

I mean... Microsoft used to be the big threat as a monopoly in the past, and their latest practices regarding making switching off automatic updates as difficult as possible are definitely dangerous, while the advanced telemetry business was even more alarming, but the most dangerous threat at this point is Google with their effective monopoly over mobile operating systems and (Lack Of) Privacy Policies. I guess it's rich being sent from an Android smartphone, but I guess I just came to terms with my inevitable demise at the "hands" of some CIA drone. Facebook used to be a significant privacy threat due to their policies, but I heard its popularity is taking a dive, so it might be a lesser threat at this point.

I do not like the direction Microsoft is going. It looks like soon they will make people pay a subscription fee every month to use their products. They are more interested in squeezing every last dime from people than making a good product. I have used Linux before and will switch to that.

Disney has turned to crap. They are obviously trying to squeeze every dime out of their properties.

Microsoft has been hated by basically everyone for many decades, but since they just about have a monopoly on gaming computer operating systems, there is little to be done about it. To move away from Microsoft is, in most cases, to stop gaming entirely. It is horrible, but that is how things tend to work now. Much the same as Google dominates video content via Youtube, and Facebook is only starting to fail now due to the utter failure of the Metaverse project.

It’s seems like Microsoft became toxic in the Xbox 360 era where you have to pay for maps and content all that kind of stuff in games but they just have bad habit attacking people who speaks about them

Microsoft pretty much own most of the games even studios but the only thing they do not own is PlayStation he’s not wrong what he’s saying about COD anyway Microsoft always like this they used to be good in the 2000s era
