Is the number blocked but whatsapp isn't?

I can't see the picture on my phone contact list that is on their WhatsApp and i can't see the option to message them via WhatsApp on my phone but i can see their picture and profile on WhatsApp aswell as open a message.

I can't send another message due to not getting a reply the first time so thats not an option to see if they blocked me lol

Even though i deleted the app off my phone i was still able to send a message to my phone via my tablet, but it says its waiting to receive the message. I Think thats cos my tablet is off though? But i couldnt see a picture on my tablet contact list even tho i can see it on WhatsApp

The icon for whatsapp appeared on the main contact list but still no picture!

Go in your wapp settings to blocked contacts and find out

Why can't i click on send a message on the phone to them but i can on ny tablet to my phone even though i deleted the app on my phone?

If you are blocked by a number (someone) then you can't see their picture, status, info.
You can only see if they are on whatsapp as a user or not, but your message will not be delivered to them if you are blocked.
Deleting the app doesn't mean your account is deleted.

Even if they blocked me by my actual number on the phone? So does it sound like they dont use whatsapp at all?

You will not see them on whatsapp contacts if they don't use whatsapp.
If they blocked you, you will still see them in your whatsapp contacts, but you can't message them

Sending a message is SMS not whatsapp message.
Could be the issue with your message app

So when u click on my mums phonr number on ny actual phone, its linked to whatsapp. But with the other person it wasn't even tho i can see them on the app itself

(which i thought would be pretty cruel of them as they were the ones being extra friendly to me irl, suggesting they wouldn't mind me messaging them. Altho maybe weren't impressed i knicked it off the group chat😂)

If you can see them in whatsapp contacts list but can't see their status or profile picture, only 2 reasons could be there. Blocked or they do not have your number saved in their phone
