What do you think? Is this fair?: Yes! The contest was for the best examples of art that was created by artificial intelligence. If this was taken by a human, then it was not created by artificial intelligence, and thus does not meet. even the minimum entry requirement… That it be created by artificial intelligence.

Don't some humans have artificial intelligence? By definition no! Artificial intelligence is the exact opposite to natural biological intelligence, possessed by humans. Now, do some humans possess less intelligence, or more intelligence than other’s.. Clearly, but that was not what this contest was about.

Shouldn't they be allowed to compete with AI anyway? Again, no! If there is a art competition for artificial intelligence, then that competition should only be open to works of art created by artificial intelligence. Just like if there was a photographic competition that was open to photographers aged between 12 and 17, it would not be right, fair, or just to allow a photographer with 42 years of experience to compete against people with only 12 to 17 years of life experience.

This is merely a separate class of competition. Much like how in boxing it would not be fair for a heavyweight to be allowed to enter a lightweight boxing tournament. Every regulatory organization from sports regulatory organizations, to art competition organizers, they keep the classes separate for a reason. To keep competition fair. After all, what is the point of any competition if it is not a fair competition?
