Yes. I still have some, and a working PC with working drives. That's my "old data rescue" computer and it doesn't get used much these days, but I occasionally save someone by keeping it around. It's got removable IDE hard drive trays (and an IDE 2.5" hard drive adapter), a 5.25" floppy drive, a 3.5" floppy drive, a ZIP drive, an external Jaz drive, and a couple of other drives similar to Jaz drives but from other vendors. It's an ancient AMD Athlon-based PC, I believe, with a VL-bus video card. LOL. Windows 98, baby!

I used to store programs on them but the storage was so low it took a bunch of them, it was a floppy disc, then hard disk to cd and now flash drive if you want but everything seems to keep changing and need more storage and memory on the computer

Yup. I should still have several hundred of them somewhere. I have 3.5, 5.25 and 8 inch floppies. I even have a dual 8 inch drive that's the size of a large microwave oven. I have 2-3 old computers with floppy drives also. I think they still work if I hook up a monitor and keyboard. Although they probably have dead batteries so I lost my setup.

I have a few things on old floppies that I'd like to keep, like my lab notebooks from college. I keep saying I'm going to move that stuff to newer storage, but never get around to it. The floppies might be completely bad now.

A big floppy we used to call it in french (disk dur) than the smaller floppies came in...

These were present and used when i was a kid, they taught us about them in school but my knowledge goes back to the mainframes, computers as big as rooms!

I remember them for sure, but honestly I don't think I ever used them to my knowledge. We had them, but that was when I was pretty young. Apparently they were replaced in the late 1990s which makes sense for my timeline.
