I'm scared of what they might do with my archived photos on one account. I'm fearing for my life. Why does this keep happening to me?

Oh my gosh girl, I'm so sorry to hear you're scared and feeling threatened. Security online is so important, especially with creeps out there. A few things you can do:
- To completely delete your account, log in on a computer and go to Settings. Scroll down and click "Delete Your Account". Type in your password to confirm.
- Make sure to log out of Instagram on all devices first so no one can access it after deletion. Change your password on any other accounts that used the same login info too, just to be safe.
- As a precaution, you could also report any concerning messages or comments to Instagram so they're aware of any threats. Screenshot anything too, in case you need evidence later.
- Most importantly, please tell someone you trust what's happening. Don't be alone if you feel unsafe - your well-being is the top priority here. They can help protect and support you too.
You did the right thing deleting that account. I know it's scary but try not to dwell - focus on surrounding yourself with people who care. And girl, you've got this! Stay strong.
I followed all the steps, but I still got hacked when I logged back in.
Oh man, that's really scary that you got hacked even after deleting it! I'd be super paranoid too. A few more things you could try:
- Log out of Instagram on all your devices, including clearing cookies and cache so you're totally logged out.
- Make sure to log out of any other accounts that share the same password, like email. Change those passwords too.
- You may need to delete the Instagram app completely from your phone if it's still logged in somehow in the background.
- Check your device and make sure you don't have any weird apps or notifications you didn't install. Could be malware causing issues.
- Contact Instagram support again and really stress that you're feeling unsafe. See if they can permanently lock the account so no one else can access it at all.
- As a last resort, you may need to factory reset your device just to wipe it totally clean if malware seems possible.
I know it's a pain but your online safety is the priority here. Hopefully one of those extra steps helps remove any lingering access. Don't beat yourself up - tech stuff is tricky. Just keep trying different solutions until it feels secure again!
If you can login to your account without forgetting your password and username, you can tap on your profile, then tap the three lines in the top right corner and select help. There you can enter the query "permanently delete instagram account". Instagram provides guides for android, ios, and window versions
