If you've got a tablet that can take SD cards, how do you access the card to add pictures from the tablet onto it?

Is it android or apple?

On my android one you select the picture you want to move.

Select move or copy in different album, here you can either select an existing album or create a new one.

Create a new on on the SD card

Move all pictures to it.

and the tablet will take care of it, it may take a while depending on the amount and size of pics.

You also see a small icon on the album preview, either a camera or SD card symbol.

I think it's Android.
I selected the pictures, all they did was open.
How do I get the menu that says, "select, "move", etc?
At the upper left corner of the screen, I can see the SD icon once I put the card in. I select that and nothing much else happens.

when i open the picture there are the three little dots to open the menu, which you can acces and select move/copy to different folder

or press and hold on one picture, this way you can select the other pictures and you got the three dots for the move/copy to other folder in the lower right corner

I guess you could also download a file manager app, or maybe you already have one installed

I had to download an app that works like Windows' File Explorer. Although it said it was free, the one I chose stopped working after a few months and said I had to pay to continue to use it. I may try another one. The weird thing is that I have all the switches set to send photos and videos to the card by default, but it doesn't do it. I don't know if Apple products are better at using memory, but Android kind of sucks.

It's okay, I was able to get the pictures and send to that someone special, anyway but, it WOULD be nice to know for future reference.

Nearest I can tell, a tablet is pretty much a large cell phone.

usually every device is connected to WiFi network and to transfer files you need a file server. Every linux or windows system can be a file server.

The card will need to be in a usable format. So if you insert the card and nothing shows up in your file explorer app. Then chances are your card isn't in the right format.

It's got music and other computer-based/written files on it that I dropped onto it years ago, pictures and videos that I recorded straight onto it via a camera that takes SD's.

i use a file manager to access the files on the sd card, cause google fotos isn't so good with that stuff. it's really bad at showing you where exactly which file is in the file system.

The SD card should come up as a separate drive and you just save your files to it.

I would say it's closer to android. I don't have any MAC gear.

Don't have a clue. The Tracfone logo pops up when I turn it on. Eventually, it goes to a picture of an ocean and says android is starting up, or something then that goes away and I can start using it.

It should either access it through their own app or your tablets control center.

It should come with a manual. As easy as taking a picture of the code square in the pamphlet yo leas you to downloading their app.
Your control panel should be in the tablets control center. An icon on the main page or in some drop down menu in top/bottom/side frame.

It does but, it doesn't tell me how to access the SD card.
I think it's too old for QC.

Hmm.. I would lean toward the app itself.
I have noticed some off market brands of sd cards app won't let you download files back to your own device once uploaded. I have seen that complaint in item feedbacks a few times.
So check the feedback of the one you purchased.
That might be the cause.

I know it accepts them, there's a slot on the side for them and it says SD's can be used with it. It just doesn't say how to access them once you've installed one.
