Whatever my dad had, but IBM compatible PC running Windows 95. Originally it would have ran 3.11 but I was to young at a time. My mom was pregnant when he got it, once he got it geek me was like alright thats it i'm coming out! I was born a day later.

I actually don't remember the brand but it was a used computer running windows 95 handed down to me by my uncle. Although im still pissed at my parents for throwing it away because windows 95 was so much better then windows 11.

I had the same problem. That, and the power supply let out the magic smoke that they work on while I was on the phone with my bank.

Electrolytic capacitors and a bit of corrosion, easily fixed.

I'd have said the same if I grew up in that era. I got a pretend amiga since my Pi400 is kind of like a modern amiga and I have an sdcard with Pimiga on it. Its like using a computer from an alternatice universe, windows administration is my job and none of it seems to apply at first sight.

Pimiga and similar are interesting devices, but limited to AmigaOS 3. The modern Amigas use PowerPC hardware and AmigaOS 4. 🙂

@goaded Lol, are we really gonna do a 30 reply discussion over this? xD. I just mean its an all in keyboard so if amiga were to design one these days I imagine the Pi400 is what it would look like. Of course its running emulation when I run amiga software on it. But yes I need to try Risc OS some time on it to.

The concept of pure keyboard-computers has been abandoned with the switch to PowerPC. All but two of the earliest motherboards are for regular desktop/tower cases.
