Do you remember what was the first thing you did with a computer?

Well, back in the `70's, we got a computer in school that was like an electric typewriter but it could also record everything you wrote onto a strip of yellow paper tape so, I wrote a few things on the take including the alphabet so I could learn what each set of holes translated to.
15 years later in college, I was given a tutor in my English class that taught me how to use a computer that used 5" floppy discs and, the first thing I did with it was to write my next English paper with it. Once I got the hang of it a week or two later and didn't need the tutor anymore, I decided to start cataloging my albums on it and would take at least 25 to 50 albums to school with me a few times a week and spend a couple hours cataloging them to my personal floppies!
About 5 years later, I got a laptop that used 3" floppies and finished up my albums on that and started my singles and my 78's!
About 5 years later, I got a brand new full computer set that had a nice big hard drive, at least 20 GB!! And I started doing all kinds of stuff with it!!
No, but I do know: when my brother got a copy of Ultima VII, he was so amazed by what he was seeing that he had to show SOMEBODY; dad was at work, mom was busy, and our sister was sleeping, so he took four-month-old me out of my cradle, sat me down in his lap, and had me watch as he played. I'm told it was adorable.
I was five and I had a digital art creation app for kids on the computer so I watched it.
Had a computer class where I learned touch typing - then there was minesweeper.

I took a Fortran course in college. I absolutely hated it. The professor was a jerk and i just could not wrap my mind arount writing a program from scratch. I barely passed the course and hoped that i would never have to deal with another computer again as long as i lived.
Fast forward 15 years and i end up getting a Masters Degree in computer science and start a career in IT. Eventually i started teaching it at a local college. Go figure,
