Are we Making Progress into Space Using Rockets?

The Chinese were using rockets in 1000AD, it seems of all our scientific discoveries, this area seems to be lagging, light years behind ! It's amazing to see people on a firework, and the touch paper being lit, sending them to space. But even that was done nearly 60 years ago, what progress have we made?

There's so much evidence out there, we must have been visited by Aliens. Perhaps Rockets from Mars, but more likely a form of transport we've not discovered. What do you think that could be, and when do you think we'll discover it, if ever?

In the next 50 years we will have people on Mars. I'd say in the context of 300,000 years of human history, landing on Mars 50 years ago and people on Mars 50 years from now is not bad progress, not to mention having a spaceship still reporting back from far outside of our solar system. No other nation has accomplished that, though it really doesn't matter as long as someone on Earth is doing it.

Ok we've arrived on Mars, amazing ! But there is no future in rockets, there value is limited to Mars, and human space travel will be finished.

Rockets are slow, not practical for planet travel. More than a YEAR just to reach mars unless rare alignment.

We will have no progress until we find hyperspace!

For UPDATE we already "discovered " time dilation bubble ' in series star gate and orville. If aliens came here, they used time bubble feilds* meaning:
the million years of moving happened while time was slower in bubble in the FILD, before travelers got old.
This can be a new interpretation for warp speed in star tRek series original + enterprise.

Just using common sense we need to improve our Technology, hopefully in a joint effort, and not firing rockets at each other.
