Elon Musk's company Space X rescued the two American astronauts that have been stuck on the International Space Station for the last 9 months. They landed exactly on schedule right in their landing zone. It was a complete success.

They landed in the Gulf of America on time and right where it was supposed to.

NASA gradually became more inefficient due to lack of funding, too much government oversight, and bureaucracy.
Privatizing much of our space program seems to be proving more productive and efficient.

NASA stagnated not due to funding but because instead of innovating they insisted on doing the same thing thing over and over again whereas companies like space x are thinking how can we do this more efficiently in a more cost effective manner using the latest technology. Whereas nasa were paying anything for parts and wasting huge sums of money. That's the problem with government spending, there's little oversight and will pay $200 for a toilet seat when they can get the same one for $5.

NASA's last manned space venture was the space shuttle. It was strictly an orbital craft and was designed to be reused. Musk and President Trump are planning on going to Mars.

The space shuttle was a colloidal expensive failure that should have been abandoned in 91 but was kept going another 20 years with no changes. We should go to Mars but I don't believe Musk will live long enough to see the day.
