Do you find it hard to delete photos even though it’s from years ago?

I’ve been slowly trying to purge my photo gallery to make room for more GB on my phone. But… I find that I always end up holding on to all the photos even though it was from a decade ago. It’s mostly random pics like vacation photos, plants, screenshots, etc but I can’t bear to delete them even though I never really look back at them. The thing is though my phone desperately needs the memory space 😅 Why is it so hard to delete these random pics…

Why not just export the whole shebang to a laptop or desktop and then delete the oldest three years on the phone?

I actually already have them all exported to a hard drive but I still can’t delete them on my phone because it won’t be easy to sort through pics from the hard drive lol

I think I just need to delete everything on my phone… I really need the memory space

You can always use a backup storage app to free up space on your phone. if you don’t want to delete your photos

I do have iCloud but it seems like whenever I delete my pics on my phone, it also gets deleted on the cloud… I moved my pics to a hard drive so I should be good

Nah, I have maybe 100 photos on different computers in total, and I have had computers since 1998. I have many more real photos. Like most media, I prefer being able to hold and look at the right thing.

I miss having real printed photos, it’s a lost art. My parents have these photo album books and I honestly much prefer having those than looking at digital photos as well

Yes, like all things, you can't beat the physical media. We live in a strange world where most people are happy to listen to music through a squeaky cellphone speaker rather than a CD or vinyl on a top — shelf stereo system.

Yes, I try to occasionally go through and clear out some pics but I still have random ss or pics that I don’t wanna delete

No. I tend to filter a lot of content every other month to save space.

Don't do it! I wanted to save space on my phone and deleted a lot and accidently deleted a lot of pics of my dad aaaaaaaah😭

I deleted some but still a lit of pics of my baby. That’s why i pay extra iCloud storage every month 🤭

Me too! But for some reason my phone still doesn’t have enough memory even though I’m already paying for the 2TB iCloud…
