As long as I couldn't get the one I wanted as it was already taken I leave mine the same. Anyway anymore the scammers and thieves (not the bunch running america at the moment) have such suffocated ways of getting into anyone's or any corporation's systems why fight it. Just simply don't get curious when checking emails and if you don't personally know it's authentically hit delete and keep any bank or credit card set up that gives you an immediate text anytime day or night that a transaction is made along with the number to immediately put a stop/hold on it.
Yeah... sometimes i forget it or something.
Passkeys and MFA exists so passwords aren't really needed. And also it's very easy for hackers to crack and/or bypass passwords. Password managers are risky because if you forget the master password or someone figures it out, then all of your other passwords are compromised. For MFA, obviously stuff like SMS and (to an extent) e-mail codes aren't really secure, but 2FA app/extension codes along with passkeys and physical devices are.
If i knew I wouldn't get hacked I would keep my passwords the same. Since hackers are getting so creative these days, I change my passwords every 30 days like clockwork. I always write them down and no 2 apps have the same password

I probably wouldn’t bother unless I felt that it was compromised
I wouldn't because I'm really bad at remembering passwords. I got locked out of my google account more than few times as I forgot my password. If I pick an easy, it says "Too easy. Try again" If I pick a difficult one, then I forget. 🙁 So, now I just save password that I set for any app/website in password manager and password manager and don't bother to change it.
You should consider setting up MFA for extra security; just install any authenticator app (or browser extension) and you're good to go. You can also use passkeys and physical devices but that's a bit overkill; please don't use SMS and e-mail for MFA, unless you have no other choice.
Authy, Google Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator are the most popular apps for that, but me personally I use 2FAS Auth simply because it's a niche alternative lol
I believe cybersecurity is something we still don’t pay enough attention to. Even though I don’t like changing passwords, I truly think it’s something we have to do.
Then MFA should be your next habit to adopt
I'm human. I'm lazy.
My password is #FuckTrump4547! and it was already taken for some sites!!!
@DrPepper12 that one made my day. Thanks for that
Dog-gone-it Pepper and I thought you were the one who got that password ahead of me. Wonder who the other real Americain is?
No because the risk of me forgetting my password is much higher than the risk of someone else guessing it. I’d rather just always keep the same one.
Then use MFA to further secure your accounts; avoid SMS and e-mail as much as possible, instead opt for authenticator apps/extensions, passkeys, and/or physical devices
Sadly though many banks and governments are stuck in the past and only offer either SMS and/or e-mail for MFA
I mostly have a unique password for each app and web site. Some I occasionally change, others I don't.
On most apps stealing identity is not a big risk,, no money so people rarely even try, so i don't mind a small risk to keep same password. Some use password generator and a special encoded file to store and copy them.
No. If they can steal my password they can steal the new password.
Which is why MFA is so important
I use 3 different pw. I only use those 3. No I don't change
Then use MFA so you never need to worry about weak or repeated passwords being compromised
Rarely depending on the security I need. Most sites don’t matter but some are super important
Then use MFA for the sites that are very important
What’s that
Because there are too many security measures for protecting and/or recovering your phone etc easily
depends on the app (banking, store, social media, etc.) , how often I use it, potential for loss if breached, etc.
No I don't care at all...
I change them from time to time
