Is it normally for new cell phones to not come with any way of charging them?

i just got sent a new cell phone as the current one is no longer going to work in a few weeks due to upgrades. but the box contains no charging equipment , there is a cable but it comes with no connections that fit electrical outlets in house or computer

anytime i've ever got a cell phone in the past its always came with charging equipment that connects into electrical outlets or computer , like do i need to buy one and how much will it cost?

i'm going to go into cell phone store tomorrow and ask as it was sent to my house through the mail

yeah... this is normal now, Apple started it, and the rest have followed

but, they are not giving you a charger BRICK, you still have a USB-C which is probably a fast charger...

maybe check your computer or laptop again... for that kind of port, even your power strip or router might have those ports as well, but not sure

Companies are getting cheap AF, while still charging higher prices. It's bullshit.

My most recent cell phone also came with only a cable, but no "brick" to plug it into. Fortunately, I save those, from other devices, so I have plenty, but yeah; these shitty companies are doing that in order to save costs.

i don't have anything similar i could plug it into , i'm affaird to turn it on as battery might run out and i'd have no way to charge it and not even sure if it comes charged or if i need to plug it in first

It probably does have at least a partial charge, so you could use it if you had to, but it is better to fully charge it, first.

If you're going to the store tomorrow, I would try to wait, but you'll most likely be required to purchase the adaptor, since it wasn't excluded by mistake.
