Would you get a flying car?

Question

Tell me this won't change some traffic laws, since, it looks like the future has arrived with the first commercial flying cars now in production:

Personally, this girl likes her feet on the ground and needs therapy to just manage the trauma suffered from the perils and unknown dangers lurking from the staggering and dizzying heights reached from even climbing the porch steps. So, don't expect me to be on the waiting list for this new form of masked voluntary homicide.

Anyways, it leads to my question of the day, Would you get a flying car?

When my son was in elementary school, I used to drive him to school every morning.
One day we were stopped at a traffic signal 🚦 and he asked me "Mom, why can't we just hover to my school in a hover craft"? I replied "because everyone would crash into each other."

But this is what he was thinking about when he was just a little guy and this was 40 years ago. He has a futuristic mind.

He would be thrilled to know they have these flying cars he invisioned so many years ago.

I don't believe that I would buy one though.

But what if you suddenly need the washroom or feel hungry in a long drive? Do we have gas stations or convenience stores up in air?

And if there is an accident, should I be worried about the crash or the downfall?

Mixed feelings about it. Getting into a crash in a flying car due to a minor malfunction in the prototype phase of the technology would have a much less chance of survival than getting into a crash on the ground I'm sure. I have no issues with it once the tech is well established, but I think I'll wait for the beta testers to take one for the team

Sure! I like the ones that can drive on roads and also get airborn. I would want it to be gas powered, though, or a solar-charging hybrid, so that I could pull into any gas station to fill up.

Of course I would basically, all it ISIS a bigger version of a drone that can carry your weight with a chromoly frame. Anybody on it have you ever been paraselling before same concept, except for with a motor but actually you turn the same way in a roundabout way, it would be very, very safe and cool.
But the rules would be crazy

I didn't c video but I would get a flying car if I could afford 1 n it was fast enough. If it was electric it would hav 2 hav a long enough range n I would hav 2 b able 2 charge it at home. If traveling long distances there would hav 2b chargin places that weren't 2 expensiv.

If it was reasonably safe and not too terribly expensive, sure. I mean, I fly small airplanes now and frequently use them for commuting purposes if I have to go a long way, so why not use a flying car too? It'd be even more convenient, I think.

I won't be an early entrant. Or necessarily a middle entrant. If 50% go flying when traffic snarls up I can still get the benefits without paying the price. I will wait to see how it goes.

There's a couple of companies in Europe with parents and prototypes that have been around a couple of years. What's put people off is needing a pilot's licence as well as a driving licence to use the flight mode.

tried one of these in China. Not as scary a concept as you think. But Western traffic infrastructure is nowhere near ready to change.
