I think it's important to let people know that... a full tank is not an overfilled tank, lol

the fuel does stop after a point, it will do it for you... and that's your clue for "enough is enough"

don't try to "fill it up" even more, that's not a good idea

In UK the pump shuts off to prevent any more fuel being delivered when the tank is full,,,

Overfilling exceeds the tank capacity and starts filling the neck of the tank, where the vapor recovery lines run.

With fuel pumps in Germany that's almost impossible, they shut off very quickly.
