How do I stop my MP3'S from changing titles on their own?

I spend YEARS on some of these collections, making sure everything's got the correct titles, artists and file numbers and they'll stay that way for a while, some, forever, so far, but others will suddenly take on COMPLETELY NEW title, artist info and numbering on their own and I have no idea how it's happening!! It's not even changing to bands or songs I've ever even heard of!! I some cases, they change to Japanese or Korean text!! I have NO CLUE how to read or write either one!! When I find them and figure out what they are, I switch them back to what they're SUPPOSED to be and, a few months later, I find they've switched back to those bizarre titles, again!!

Your music program has a function to pull song ID information from the net. Deactivate it.

Why does it change the names of the tracks when I've already assigned them names?

How could I say, you never mentioned the application! And if you’re not able to systematically go through all its menus, then you should not use computers at all.

It does that as a priority setting, when it finds newer (or any) information from the net. That’s the reason why I deactivate all such functions.
