If AI takes your job today, what are you doing instead?

Right now I'm a Claims Customer Service Advocate and I don't expect to be doing this for too much longer because AI is going to take over soon enough.

Maybe in the next 5 to 10 years but if it somehow took over today, I guess I would be a delivery driver until I could find something better.

What about you? What would you be doing instead?

Ha, I have zero idea of a backup plan. But AI is coming after my job at lightning speed. All online jobs aren't safe. And even physical labour jobs will be taken up by robots soon after. Nothing is safe from the future. We'll have to adapt to those times and universal income will inevitably be a thing.

This is what will happen first. When all the car rental places I'll go out of business and they load up all their cars for sale for cheap that will be the start of taking down Ford Chevy Dodge

When they start making grocery stores all non-employee stores with no cash register people just drones and they're fake 3D Stakes that we will be buying if we can buy them because the government has so much information on us they don't have to let us buy anything and our money will be in their Bank

And that takes me to Chase Wells Fargo USA Bank Bank of America I'll go out of business because now there's nobody making any money

That you will all get a card with so much tokens on it and they will tell us what we can buy and what we can't buy from the stores is selling their food

I would say an online store would be great but nobody's going to have any money to buy anything

Even though we will get an allowance for clothes and maybe household goods

But mostly all foods will be fake the money that you're given they can tell you how to spend it what to spend it on and if they don't like it you're not going to have it

The reason why this question is so good is everybody should be focusing on it's making as much money as possible right now to buy into Bitcoin or what have you whatever the government's money is going to be titled

Or the smart thing would be right now Is to become your own bank that way if you want a loan for something you're taking the loan out of a life insurance policy but you have to reimburse it there's a lot of things about becoming your own bank that are very very good at least nobody else controls your money

But, hmm, got to be a little sceptical with this idea of AI doing every job. Think how frustrating it is when you use those chatbot things when you contact a company. They're always shit and useless. I'm guessing the implication is that AI will improve at an exponential rate, though. When there's an AI Beethoven I guess I'll be convinced. AI can't do feeling or emotion, can it? It can just emulate the human sense of it. Have you seen those replacement girlfriend AI things advertised on youtube. They're beyond tragic.

Maybe I could therapise? Again, this apparently could be somewhat easily replaced by AI. But I do think we need some kind of human contact, ultimately. It goes back to ultimately how we see ourselves as humans, and how we believe we actually heal.

I should fucking hope AI doesn’t take over your job soon. Automated phone calls are the FUCKING worst. I literally was on and off the phone for 2 hours today, and a solid 30 minutes of it was just navigating their stupid automated menu so I could talk to someone to actually address my problem that wasn’t on their stupid menu.


And if AI takes my job of pizza delivery, it better be because no living person is driving on roads anymore.

My part of customer service doesn't work with phones. We work behind the scenes processing claims for customers. But I hope that AI doesn't take that part of Customer service over soon either. I hate talking to AI chatbots.

AI would have a seriously difficult time taking over my job. I'd have made more money if I had stayed in IT but I don't regret starting my own business and getting away from the boom and bust cycle that is the IT world. Getting laid off every 5 years gets old.


One third of my job is customer service, for mostly wealthy, busy people who just want me to take care of it.

realistically speaking... I could not work any other day in my life, and it would be fine, I would not need another job

but I would like to do something else, yes... so I would probably dedicate myself to make furniture... design and build it myself, and then sell that too

eh. ai won't take my job. ai can litterally already do my job. i'm still being paid cause people just prefer talking to a person even if in some cases ai is actually better. and if ai ends up taking my job, i litterally don't see a job i could do that ai wouldn't do at that point.

Actually its coming faster than you think. And the AI support agents are incredibly accurate. I am in the field of security where analytics and cloud integration are starting to take off as AI integrates with APIs. Its moving pretty fast. Even security monitoring stations are using AI assistants and if it can eventually be more efficient at navigating life threatening situations it can definitely handle customer service claims. Crazy times.
