No, but AI will inevitably cause displacement, as any disruptive innovation does. I'm actively doing academic research on this topic, and to summarize my findings so far, AI is augmenting many knowledge work positions and redefining roles so that the human becomes more of an architect than an executor. AI is fantastic at aggregating mass amounts of data, but within that, it generates a perfect distribution, thus generates a consensus rather than meaningful findings. AI fails at paying tribute to variance and outliers the way humans do effortlessly. Business's with the advent of AI are attempting to pursue a strategy of differentiation rather than cost leadership. Nothing meaningful takes place when you treat your decisions as a professional from the perspective of the average consensus. If you do that, your advantage is siphoned as you'll only be able to produce glittery generalities. Domain knowledge and heuristic thinking is valuable, especially when you accompany that with AI.

Nope. It might replace some aspects of my job but I will adapt and change up what I do to stay efficient and useful  AI is not as evil as people online think

Not right now but I could see it being replaced 20 to 30 years from now which is why I don't plan on staying in the current field that I'm in. Customer Service work is already being replaced by AI so it's only a matter of time before they hit my part of Customer service.

AI will likely replace:

75% of jobs have already been replaced by technology. 100 years ago, half the people lived on farms, now only 2% a 46% replacement. There are almost no tailors, telephone operators, elevator operators, scribes, photo shops, public telephones, or full-service gas station employees.

AI will replace another 50% of workers such as replacing fast food workers with automation. Almost all replace workers find other jobs which increases production. Currently AI has no intelligence is incapable of doing what people do.

Replacing my job and your job is 100% a possibility and that should make people more against corporate exploitation of the working class, not support it further because “its not their job on the line” for some sense of importance.

Until you can get a computer to climb a telephone pole, hop fences, get access to closed blocks [ no driveways, you have to go through people's houses to get to the terminal or pole], rain, shine, snow, heat, my job is and was safe
