Do you think there is a connection between Social Media and Narcissism?

Narcissism is overused nowadays like racism and depression. I would call this behavior in social media vanity and craving for attention. On the other hand social media exploits this natural need for affirmation and recognition with offering the like button.
I mean if you write something interesting and you get likes, this confirms some mental capabilities or general acceptance of one person's humor. However likes for pictures, which have the tendency the more skin the more likes, encourages different things.

What about when folks show their vacation pictures? Is that a flex?

yess i bet for suree there is!!🤔🤔 most likely both directions, more narcissistic people are prolly drawn to social media more & social media prolly exacerbates ppl’s existing narcissism!!😮

yes social media is were a person mostly post about themselves, what they're doing/ eating etc. A narcissist loves being told how grate, pretty they are they love when you give them your attention social media gives them all that. And even people who normally aren't narcissistic can get caught up in it.
