With all the scammers and catfish on the internet, it seems meeting someone off the internet is a waste of time unless you truly meet someone that is completely being honest with you , otherwise it’s a waste of time. I have come across so many scammers and catfish that I bust immediately because I don’t fall for nonsense. But apparently there are a lot of people that do , otherwise there wouldn’t be scammers and catfish all over the internet still doing this shit. Which tells me there must be a lot of people on this planet that lack common sense or that are desperate as fuck. It’s very easy to bust a catfish or scammer , if you are talking to someone online and they hesitate to prove themselves to you , and make lame excuses as to why they can’t prove it , they are talking out there ass , and you should block them immediately. Catfish and scammers will make lame excuses that their phone is broken , that they are waiting to get a new one , or they will ask you for money as well. Anyone asks you for money? , block them immediately especially someone you never met in person that you don’t know personally. It blows my mind by how much of this is still occurring on the internet , which makes me realize how stupid people must be on this planet. I have had 3 scammers contact me on GaG since June. That was the first on. They all have accounts here on GaG, and ask questions and give opinions so they look like a genuine member. They post their picture as well. You can take their picture and run it through the REVERSE IMAGE SEARCH ON GOOGLE. Because they steal pictures from people on Facebook, magazines, dating sites, GaG, etc.

I must correct something that Finche said though. The victim's aren't stupid people. To the contrary they are very intelligent people and some have many college degrees and are professional people.

By the same token, the scammers aren't stupid either. Some scams last a month, some for years! They are very good at what they do.

They use a playbook and have many scammers assigned to one victim. Easc scammer has a part to play as the scam continues.

One will start the Romance Scam going by the playbook they use. The first scammer does the romance part and romances the victim. Then as they have built your trust in the scammer, that's when they ask for money and a second scammer comes in and does the money part, and so on.

When I was first scammed on GaG I had never heard of Romance Scammers so how was I to know he was scamming me? He was very nice and we had a lot of great conversations on the app Telegram. They will ask you to move to another platform almost right away because they say they are safer.

They send you music videos, send a picture of them with one or two dogs to make them look like a regular person who loves animals. My scammer had two dogs and we called them "our babies" whenever we talked about them.

We had coffee ☕ in the mornings while texting. At first he was cute and asked if he would give him some sips from my coffee. Then he started asking for an entire cup. Of course I didn't make him a real cup of coffee ☕ it was just something that we did to start the morning.

When I opened my phone every day there was always the sweetest message and a picture of picture flowers (he knew my favorite color is pink). They keep track of ALL of the details of the messages so it always seems it's the same person.

There are tons of videos about these Romance scammers and there's also money scammers as well. In fact there's a pink one on GaG right now and guys would never know she's scamming you because she is playing the role of being one of our nicest members. When I look to see who she's following it's all blue accounts and her followers are all blue accounts as well. She says she's rich, and might have spoken to you about Bitcoin, crypto currency, digital money, bank transfers, gift cards, etc. They love to instruct you through the process so you can become rich too. The only problem is that it's to a bank made by the scammers but looks real. So they encourage you to keep investing your money 🤑 and after you see your money growing very high and you want to withdraw it, guess what? The account has been frozen for some reason and that's when they steal your money.

Yea definitely crypto , I came across that a few times by them trying to convince you to invest in crypto , I shit them down real quick and block them. Someone that is real isn’t going to ask you anything about money period , Money is something that could be discussed after the both of you met and dated for some time but not right away , that’s someone you should block immediately. And Sage , just because someone has college degrees it doesn’t make them smart , there are a lot of college degree people that lack common sense , common sense is something that isn’t really taught to us in schools just like relationships aren’t taught to us in school either. So unfortunately there are a lot of people that do not lack common sense as to why these scammers and catfish are still all over the internet. Some dumb ass or desperate person is going to fall for it , otherwise there would be a lot less scammers and catfish on the internet. I worked in the security field for a lot of years and one of my main duties was to observe people for safety reasons. I was trained to pretty much spot bullshit from a mile away to prevent anything bad from happening., well at least try to prevent something bad from happening. One of my duties was to prevent cyber crime from happening , so I was trained on what to observe. Scammers and catfish unfortunately know a lot of people lack common sense and that’s when they will pursue a victim. Your computer and your cell phone aren’t safe devices whatsoever, someone can easily crack into your phone or computer and get your personal information without you knowing they are. So the number 1 thing to put a stop to immediately when talking to someone online , is anything to do with money. It’s ok to say what you do for a living , but not ok for someone to ask you to invest in crypto or any other investments immediately. Someone that is actually really interested in you isn’t going to give 2 shits about making you money.

I only wrote that about the college degree people because that's what they are emphasising on the programs when warning ⚠️ people about them because most people think that they are just stupid people who would fall for being scammed. When it's even people who have common sense and are intelligent people.
Also they don't talk to you right away about investing. They build a trusting relationship with you first.

Suprisingly i've never had one of these horror stories that people post online. Every women i've met in person has been pretty normal. I don't know if i've been lucky or my vetting process is just more thurough than the rest. Because i run into equally my share of freaks ONLINE. I just never meet them.

I think too many people would rather have a bad date than no date. And that is where i most definitely differ. It's always better to be single than get caught up in toxic situation. And i definitely value my peace above all.

so, yes... every person I ever met was "off" the internet, in person...

so, I never had an issue with them being "catfish or scammers"
