My experience, I have worked in two different countries:

- Kurdistan, Iraq: they speak Kurdish, which I don't know anything of .

- Saudi Arabia: It is one of the most conservative places in the world and hardest environment to live in.

I have to say, whatever is the reason for you to leave your country and work in other foreign countries, best of luck I hope you make it back home.

It is hard and never easy, and it is a big change in your life style, and might be a cultural shock for many, so lets start helping you out:

1. Use the internet.

Yes, it is important on so many levels, keep in touch with friends and family, and finding new friends where you are now, and reading tips and reviews about the place you are in, and comparing other's experience with what you are having like rental price and salary so you know that you are being treated fair. It is good to know the history of the country and it is culture too. I recommend joining this website, it is international and great for finding events near you.

2. Start a hobby.

You have so much free time, well get on it. It is time to make a use of your time, pick up a guitar or a book, start crafting. I had many great things because of my hobby. I formed a band and played a couple of shows in KSA.

3. Aim for higher degree or even professional degree:

You have that choice. You have the money for it why not? It is a great thing to boost up your salary and your chance of returning home faster, every career have degree more than you have, there is no limit.

4. Learn the language.

This is important for non English speaking country. I struggled a lot in Kurdistan but when I started working there I kept asking my colleague in the office to teach me a word each day. I stayed there for a year and I learned enough to go and talk with people, even a little bit it was good.

5. Shopping.

You have the money now and you need to spoil your self a bit, you deserve it after working hard for it.

6. Don't over work.

Many people tend to do that. They say that "I don't have anything else to do", so they become a workaholic, you don't need that it is more important to finish your task than to waste your time in the office.

7. Get to the gym.

Anyone who goes to Saudi Arabia would gain weight and be out of shape. Food is cheap and great and you can't really walk much in the street because of the heat, but I went there and I lost 10 Kgs and got fit, unlike so many, I dedicated my time for the gym and it was great.

It is always good to be healthy, take care of yourself please

And last, I want to say, if you are smart enough you would know what is best for you. You don't need to do all these, just don't stay home and regret that you wasted your time for money, go live life.
