Are there any shenanigans going on with airport searches?

Ok, the meme may seem kind of funny, but I have heard some real horror stories about this kind of thing actually happening at airports.

Even when it is a female NSA employee searching another female, it just seems like a really creepy thing to be doing to people that don't like their private parts being touched, or seen, like that.

I have never had a detailed search at an airport, only a electronic wand search, but I mostly fly by private plane.

Have you ever heard of anything creepy happening since they started searching people at airports?

I have heard of employee's being fired for this kind of thing.

Apparently airport Body Scanners actually show you nude to the attendants watching. Did you know this?

Is this just one more reason to quite flying? ... or are you ok with it in the name of public safety?

A. Yes, I have had a cavity, or similar thorough, search before and it did give me the creeps!

B. No, I have never had that happen, but if it did, it wouldn't bother me, it's just public safety protocal

C. No, I have never had it happen and they would hear a thing or two, if they ever tried anything like that on me

Never had to undergo such a procedure myself and did not hear any of my friends having a similar experience.

Now, next time I take a plane I will make it a point that those TSA people get their money's worth of fun. I will ensure that I eat cabbage, onions and beans stew before heading to the airport.

If they want to check my cavities,, they will get a nice whiff of what foul smells such cavities can behold and I may get a full dental check for cavities free of charge with their super modern thingamebob x-ray machine. That will save me a few bucks off my next dentist's bill.

They may pat you down if the Xray machine goes off, but I think you're confusing airports with jail. They're not doing cavity searches. If they think you are smugghling drugs, they will hand you off to the police or DEA and they will handle it from there.

I don't think there's any funny business going on with those searches because they need to do things as fast as possible because there are so many people pouring through the system, and it cannot get log jammed. Otherwise the airlines would lose money.

I worked for the TSA for 4 years. No one “wants” to pat passengers down trust me I hated doing it. Also they dont use the machines that show naked bodies anymore it’s just an avatar of a person and shows where things are hiding between cloths and skin. Also just because you fly privately doesn’t mean you can’t get a pat down. When the president came to Florida they landed all the private jets at my airport and the passengers were deplaned and searched including a pat down before continuing on. Then the aircraft could fly into the restricted airspace.

The way I see it, it's just a safety precaution. I would feel a bit uncomfortable but safety comes first

They don’t do cavity searches and yes they have to be of the same gender to pat you down.
