There is actually a free game online called Nation States where you can create your own country and interact with other countries. You make decisions and how your decisions are made affects what kind of country you end up with (facist, totalitarian, socialist, democracy, etc). It's pretty fun.

It'd be my own island somewhere. Maybe we'd take over American Samoa or Guam or something. Or maybe, a part of the US breaks off and suceeds the union, like Texas or something. But the US is no longer a country about free speech and liberty and I'd form my own country where as long as it's legal, you can do and say what you want without worrying about Cancel Culture or being deplatformed off the internet or anything. I think it's name should reflect its geography and climate rather than it's political system. You just know any country beginning with "republic of..." is going to be a corrupt shit hole. With that I hereby rename my country (wales) "the hilly pisspot of the little people"

politics aside... it could be located between Northern Europe and Russia, this because of climate (montane cooler climate) or it could also be around the South East Asia part near China, and this so it's more of a cloud forest, still mountain climate but these ones tend to be wilder in flora and fauna and all kinds of more "exotic" wildlife
so, along the Temperate Forest and Taiga (Boreal Forest) regions could work...
well... it would be some sort of representative government but still dictated by me
preferable, autonomous regions that have their own parliament and institutions, and regulations according to their regional specific needs but, they would still adhere and respond to a higher and centralized institution or government just so they don't get out of control and do not drift way too apart from the concept of nation or country
people could still select their representatives to make decisions but there would be NO PARTIES and no politicians... every choice and decision they make has to be presented and worked out by experts on each field (education, health, energy, services) and overseen by a parliament with no political ties to any party or company or self-serving interest
when it comes to economy the aim will be sustainability as a top priority... and not consumerism and this would mean that the country will not aim to produce in order to get rich... it will produce to keep stability and balance, will provide basic needs for everyone guaranteed, and then people will have room and choice to live their lives as they see it most fit...
