We are finally getting to the other side of Covid and now the price of gas is going to be too high to be able to afford to go anywhere.

So most likely you're paying a bunch of expenses associated with that house: property taxes, insurance, maintenance, power (assuming you can't just leave the heat/ac off 365 days/year). The cost of taking a trip there is a small percentage of the total amount you spend on the house each year so you should go. Also, let's say you went on a 1 day trip. Then calculate what that gas cost you on a daily basis? A lot. 100% of your gas tank each day. If you stay there 10 days it's only 10% per day. So the longer you stay there the more bang you're getting for your dollar.

The flips side is that if you only visit once per year, then the cost of everything you put into the house only benefits you once per year. So more trips and/or staying longer is better.

If you really think it's too expensive to drive up there you might be better off selling the house cause for all you know the gas crisis will last for years.

Not really, but that is because my average road trips are only about 120 miles each way. That is all it takes to go to the mountains or desert for camping and riding.

I never really do the major long many thousands of miles road trips to begin with.

But I do expect the airlines to want to be bailed out as their ridership drops due to increased flying costs, and the rest of the economy to start to tank as everyone spends more on fuel they spend less on everything else.

People are more likely to cut back on food, or other commodities rather than fuel, as they don't think they are spending extra on fuel than they need to, most don't just drive out for the sheer fun of it.

No, we don't travel that far, and we have a hybrid vehicle. Besides, gasoline, really is not that expensive. If gas goes to $5 a gallon, that's an increase of about $40 on a full tank of gas, which means you have to give up one dinner for two at a family restaurant. History has shown that people will pay whatever the cost of gasoline is, and adjust their lives accordingly. Instead of not going on vacation, people will stay closer to home, and maybe have a shorter vacation. They won't eliminate vacation altogether.

Money can get a girl to cheat on easily. Not even a lot of money. Money is power. Power is everything. Look at politics. So many people are brainwashed and fighting over political motivated campaigns for money. Covid lock downs and mandates are all motivated by money. It has nothing to do with safety. Money is the root of all evil. I’ve tested it myself. I was able to get my girlfriends sister to send nudes and sleep with me for money. She is completely in love with her boyfriend. But she LOVES weed and needs money for it. Money can buy you happiness. And people LOVE money. Isn’t it indirectly love if you have money? The money is what binds you. Money gives you the chance at love. Can you even get a date or get a partner without spending money? Most girls wouldn’t even look at you unless you can support in some type if way.

Scouting around February 1 wasting time…and noticed beach hotels, that I know were 120 night preCOVID, are 350-425 nightly.

A flight across the 🌎 🌍 that was 800.00 with 6 month advanced booking is 2000 now. And quarantine 💩 too….

another big year for Lowes, Home Depot, and general maintenance/home improvement Vendors

Luckily, I don't have to drive to work every day. But yes, it cuts back on any pleasure driving. It costs me over $100 to fill up. It's ridiculous.

I've already booked all my trips this year, so I'm locked in. My only worry is that Frontier will somehow fuck me on my flight to Mexico, I had locked in a pretty reasonable fare. If that happens I'll be bent over a barrel.
