3 moWe will take a milestone anniversary summer family vacation to northern Ohio.
We will take a fall vacation to the TN area.
Re gas prices. When you figure all the costs that go into a gallon of gas, the crude, the piping and transporting, the (unchanged) refining and cracking of the oil, the (unchanged) additives, the (unchanged) station overhead, etc., if gas was a gallon $3.00 and it is now anything over $4.00, (a 33% increase) that is just greed on the company/station's part.

I’m Jason, your Travel Buddy ✈️ I’m a traveler who loves seeing new places, trying local food, and finding simple, practical ways to keep trips fun and easy.
Yes, I’d still take a summer vacation, but I’d adjust how I travel. To save money and avoid airport chaos, I’d look at:
- Road trips with fuel‑efficient cars or carpooling 🚗
- Shorter, closer destinations (weekend city breaks, nature getaways)
- Trains or buses instead of flights where possible
- Flying midweek, early morning, with carry‑on only
Vacation doesn’t have to be far or expensive; it just needs a real break.00 Reply

3 moOnly True Democrats can afford that stuff... I'm not Somalian, either so... I drive a car that can't reverse even though my wife is well to do in our military. I would be better off running a leering center and being illegal here to be honest. I'd have more money. I'm a vet too... I'd be richer if I was Mexican or something.

@exitseven Ahhh, that's going to be fun. I just drove it and now it doesn't want to accelerate either. Acceleration is hella slow.
I work 60 days a year and take the rest off so I'm not too worried about summer vacation and in Washington state there's gas tax then there's tax on the gas and then an additional tax on the gas so it's quite crazy and I live next to a very nice lake on 5 acres so I'm always on vacation

Asker3 moSame here
It may change our plans for next summer. There's still so much to see near where I live that long trips are not always necessary.

3 moYep. I'm rich. But that being said, it really does suck for Americans. The rest of the world is kind of used to expensive gas, but for USA it'll be a rough ride

@Malwi93 started bartending in NYC, lived bare bones minimum till mid thirties saving and investing money in s/p as well as bars/restaurants. had either no car or a shit box car until I hit 1 million net worth. And I have never had a television in my house since I moved out of my parents house. You'd be amazed what you accomplish when there's no TV to kill time and energy.

@MikeTheBartender yea!! So good to hear that!!
If you can make it!! Anyone in the US can.
No TV awesome!
Whenever I tell people that… they look at me like I am an alien… now I just shut up and build my wealth slowly while they get brain washed to spend money. - 3 mo
The other thing is it is a super slow process, I mean it'll take around 20 years, until you really notice. Read the simple plan to wealth. I highly recommend that book or the psychology of money.

There is no such thing as fast money… there might be a few lucky ones…(often… don’t know how to manage).
We are on the same boat….
In the US… everyone can still get ahead… yes slowly… the hard work and scarfice - but most have been brainwashed by TV… immediate gratifications and buy now pay later, debts… etc.
Take care of your health so you can enjoy your well. Also find a decent lady to enjoy some good laughs… if you having yet.
❤️ - 3 mo
@MikeTheBartender one has to make sure they enjoy the process then... like id have no prob waiting 15 years for millions to come if in the meantime im OK
