What is the creepiest back road or detour you took to get somewhere?

Currently going from Louisiana to Texas for an errand and the backroads in the rural area look like something out of the Wrong Turn or the Hills Have Eyes series. Lot of rain and middle of nowhere spots that look like they haven't been occupied in years

sometimes I took a detour road or way fully controlled by one cartel... just so I didn't have to go through another cartel's territory...

and doing that requires a lot of questions asked and many risks implied... but oh well, not like I had choice, calculated risks and then hope for the best... lol (knocking on wood a million times)

Tried to walk home after a show once and got a bit mixed up trying to cross the river. Wound up on what I now refer to as crackhead island, with only the one bridge to it and no way to the other side of the river

You won't catch me driving through the south like that for nothing. You might catch a backwoods family that Traps you like how Leatherfaces did lol
