I'm from the Pacific NW of the US so up there we were big on sasquatch tales:

Now I live in the SW and here we have stories of "skin-walkers".

There is actually quite a lot. As one of the earliest written collection of folklore and fairytales started in our region. So I think there is just more preserved. Also with influences from many other countries we share a lot similarities with other regionsclose to us. To name a few we have kobolds, dwarfs, elves, drudes, and even storries of dragons or so called Lindwyrms or Tatzelwurms. Also creatures with different names that are named versions of things you today would know as werwolfs, ghost, zombies, shapeshifter, chimeras (mix of different animals but these are probably found everywhere). we also have 'creatures' that other cultures called gods, that were formed into witch like creatures similar to the nordic pantheon. Some benevolent some not so friendly.
Here we have
Impundulu
Grootslang
Nethathe
Tokoloshé
Inkanyamba
ndadzi
Werehyenas
Unfortunately i cannot provide pictures with them but if you want to see them you can google them.
Apparently, the flathead lake monster where I grew up. Here, there's nothing on the map for this state.
