I’ve heard west Texas has a lot of ghost towns. And I love touring ghost towns.
And I’m also a fan of the outdoors. Lots of hiking and scenic drives in Big Bend and Guadeloupe National Park I would assume.
But if anyone has any suggestions on things I should do, or places I should visit, I’m open to ideas!
I’m thinking of maybe going to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico as well.
And also if I could ride a mule or go on horseback into some canyon valley, that would be cool as well!
I’ve seen photos of West Texas and it just looks like such a pretty place!
I would hope the people there are friendly as well.
I don’t know how receptive they are to tourists or anything like that.

Thanks for the info and link! How many times have you visited the area yourself?
No problem. I've been through the area at least 10 times, but stayed on a couple of occasions. It's really nice and really big. It's kind of symbolic of what people think of Texas as being so big and open spaces. It's hot this time of year though, often in the 100s during the daytime.
Yeah, I was planning on going in December
