I've sat here for nearly 10 minutes trying to decide, and I can't. There's just too many styles of wine I like, and too many great wine producing nations to say which one is "the best". Not to snub other good wine making countries, but I like...
Red wine: France, Italy, Portugul, Spain, Chilé and some from the U. S.
White wine: France, Italy and Germany.
Ice wine: Canada

However, I also enjoy a several Canadian red and white wines as well. There's literally hundreds of wineries within a few hours drive of where I live, and many produce great wine. Especially some of the very small, established operations.
A few months ago I bought a bottle of Casavecchia red at a vineyard that is owned by a renowned local Italian chef who started his own estate about an hour and a half away out in the country, and that bottle was one of the best red wines I've ever tasted. The food probably had something to do with it, but it even put other Casavecchias I've had from Italy to shame. It's incredible stuff.

  The majority of our wines gets exported overseas.
  There's The Barossa Valley, Yarra Valley,
