Which countries are among the best quality tasting wine producers?

The question is straightforward - Which countries do in fact produce the best quality and best tasting (red) wine?

I heard, that France belongs among the best wine producers.
I got the feeling, that Germany, Spain and Italy are also skilled in producing the best quality/best tasting wine.

I am asking this question because I never bought red wine before until today. I am basically a fan of mulled wine / glowing wine / Glühwein and I want to extend my culinary skills.

Enjoyment of wine is entirely subjective. The idea that there is a specific country or region that makes "the best wine" is a myth that is used to mark up prices and market brands.
The wine that you love best may come from the red high desert hills of central Arizona, or the sloping mountain foothills of southern Spain, or the lush valleys of northern Argentina. Either way, the taste will resonate with you in a special way and fill you with the warmth and pleasure that comes from a good wine. That's the magic of it. Wines are as varied and unique in personality as people are. Just as there is not a country that objectively produces the "best people" there will never be a country that produces the "best wine". You have to decide that for yourself. Which is the fun part because you have to drink wine to do it.

Believe it or not, Australia.
The vine stock here was mostly German.
A red called Grange Hermitage is rated among the best in the world.
Other wines win medals often.

I‘ve never had a German wine before, interesting. Also, what do you think about the legal drinking age in Central Europe? Is it good that we can start drinking wine at 16?

Yeah, I think 16 is a reasonable age. I think if people want to be responsible, they will be. You can't prevent degenerates from being one - with or without these laws.

So far in life, I've only had french, south African and italian wines. I don't quite remember the name but there was a wine in a round bottom glass ( it was either from south africa or france) and that wine was just EXQUISITE. The best I've ever had so far.

I like french cognac and champagne - I like Canadian ice wine since I live here - not familiar with other countries - not a wine expert.

I've had Italian and french wine... the Italian was good but rustic homemade by my former bosses family and the French stuff was very expensive that I tried during an investment event

I grew up around Napa and sonoma which claim to be the best wine regions... i don't like the shit so I couldn't tell you if its true
