I went to Florida. I was visiting a college that i had wanted to go to.
My first time on a plane was when I was two, but I'm not sure where we were headed. My first flight on my own was to L. A (also the first flight since I was two). Not for L. A. itself, but for (mostly) ten days of hiking and camping in various national parks and camping areas in So-Cal. Other than some of the natural areas and scenery though, So-Cal was pretty "meh".
My first flight was aboard a Spirit Airlines Airbus A320ceo (current engine option) from New Orleans to Detoilet, on very short notice because a sibling was passing away.
I was at work at Family Dollar when I got the call: "You need to get here and you need to ro get your ass here ro Detoilet NOW." Living siblings then told me everything I needed to know. Manager happened to overhear and literally said "you got an hour left, clock out, go ahead and catch that flight."
I was boarding the A320 exactly an hour later.
I don't feel guilty for saying i was far more excited about flying that i was about my sister, mainly because i understand death is a part of life and nobody is going to be here forever.
But the experience was absolutely amazing
Detroit, lmao. Well, that’s where I landed, I visited Ann Arbor, which was a pretty decent ways away by car. Nice enough place, wouldn’t need to see it more than once, haha. Drove a U-Haul truck home, that was about a 12 hour drive, BRUTAL. Honestly, though, the flying process didn’t take much less time considering when I had to leave for the airport, a layover, etc.
I was 33 and I flew from Portland, Oregon to Denver, Colorado and then I flew in a tin can from Denver, Colorado to Colorado Springs, Colorado to spend a month with my mom and dad after they moved there to be closer to my siblings. A month later I made the same return flights only in reverse.
Denver, Colorado was also the first place I ever flew to.
@EnglishArtsteacher Cool! What did you fly to Denver for?
Warsaw => Seoul. Aircraft was quite heavy and fast while start. I sat behind the wings and thought 'now it's time to lift off' but the pilot didn't. At some point I thought 'it's over' the suddenly aircraft started to rotate and I saw huge vapor cloud above wings. I flow later several times more but it was never that much vapors as by my first take off.
ONLY time on a plane! We went to Clearwater, Fla. to visit my dad's best friend and his wife. It was only supposed to be a 2-week stay but, they talked us into staying for 4. Went in Feb., came back in March. Just before we left here, we got hit with a fairly heavy snow storm. When we got there, it was in the 80's so, it was like getting Spring in the dead of winter! When we came back, it WAS spring here so, it was like getting Spring twice! Or, at least, an extended Spring.
You flew there, but you didn't fly back?
@EnglishArtsteacher We flew down and flew back. I haven't been on a plane since. That's the ONLY time I went anywhere on a plane.
In a big circle back to the airfield after about an hour over Belvoir Castle and Trent Bridge. I was 14 and in the cadets we flew a De Havilland Chipmunk tandem plane with a parachute strapped to our backsides "in case"
Great fun
Long time ago, my first flight was on a B737 flight back to my home city in Northest US. I helped my sister move to outside Washington DC, driving a Ryder moving van. I then took a United flight from Washington back home.

I was flying from China to Japan to take a plane to my new home in Canada and 5 years after coming to Canada I became a citizen.
We took off, flew around for an hour and went back to where we took off from. Which I guess means no where.
up, and then down in a controlled manor.
That is why I am able to give this answer.

I think the first time I went on a plane I was 4 or 5 years old and I was flying with my mom and I think we went to Mississippi for my older sister's college graduation

The Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado.
Denver International is a weird ass airport. lol I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Colorado, but that airport is creepy. 😂
@Adventurer23 Why do you think it's creepy?
It was in a 4 seater Cessna 180. A couple of my friends and I hired a pilot to take us up for a couple of hours over our hometown.
We went to Las Vegas. It was horrible the first night, but the rest was lovely.
