What historical site in the world have you ever visited or do you like to visit?

I have visited washington DC and did the whole tourist thing. i had a cousin that had a pretty big government job and he got us VIP passes for the Senate. I saw a filibuster going on and saw Ted Kennedy give some speech. I was pretty young at the time so I really did not appreciate how cool that was. Then the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, JDK gravesite, Tomb of the Unknown soldier and the Smithsonian.

I want to go back next year when Trump is sworn in.

I've seen a fair few here in the US, and a couple elsewhere... Newgrange on the Solstice would be cool, but the odds are like a hundred thousand to one. And of course, Gobekli Tepe would be AWESOME- but nobody gets in there, and I accept that as the correct decision.

I think I'll put in a vote for Cahokia, as one that few people have heard of, but is fascinating.

Also lots of ancient Hawaiian sites on the Big Island.
All of the Washington DC area, as well as many historical sites in Massachusetts and Virginia.
Many in California and the western U. S.
Quite a few in Germany, Belgium and France. Nothing in Paris, though.
A few things in London, as well as Stonehenge.
Tulum in Mexico.
I also spent two weeks in San Miguel Allende, a World Heritage site in Mexico, with a weekend in historic Guanajuato.

I’ve been to Stonehenge, Hadrians wall, the Acropolis in Athens, been to Rome and a bunch of other places, also been on some archeological digs as well.
