Is NYC really the safest city in America?

How is the USA first world if so? NYC is so bad and sketchy. A horrible and ugly place. I hope that’s not actually true.

No, but it's pretty safe.

Just going by intentional homicide rate:

New York is between 15 and 20 safest out of 100 US cities.

30-40 states as a whole are worse. (Gosh, maybe cities aren't where all the murders happen!)

And it's only 3-4 times more dangerous than London!

It's actually pretty safe, and beautiful if you know where to look.

first world just means they made a subway not good people. we have a thousand murders or attempted murders each year.
california "low crime" is "only 200 $ stolen" when divided by citizens per capita. go to florida where republican majority in state senate we rnc deter crimes.

@strateguy632: No, to start Republicans don't win big city elections, typically only small cities ones and two neither Democrat nor Republican can stop crime especially in a city with more than 500,000 plus people living in a city as it's impossible to do so since out of so many people there's always going to be scum around doing crime.
