There's so many cities in Switzerland that are nice. Since the whole country is well connected you can go anywhere and have the same standard of infrastructure and most cities have their old buildings preserved so you can see the history and nice old architecture. I think the italian part of Switzerland is very underrated when it comes to tourists. Swiss people love going to Ticino because it's close but different from the rest of the country but tourists focus mostly on the mountains. Lugano and Locarno are 2 cities there that are nice and then you can explore different valleys around Lugano like the Verzasca valley where the rivers come down from the mountains to the lake. There are mountains but there's much warmer weather than most of Switzerland so it's fun to explore because you have almost Mediterranean weather :) When I was a kid we swam in this pool underneath a waterfall the water was almost 0 degrees because it came straight from the snow on the mountain but then we lay on a big boulder in the sun and warmed ourselves up again it was so nice :).
I was in Montreux last summer too I saw the castle that's built on the lake and took a ferry and we went to the water park. We only had a short time but it was nice :). But I don't think it's better than other cities in Switzerland :)
Hopp, Schwiiiz! 🙃
@DryGermanGuy Danke sehr :)
Wow. I know this is not exactly answering your question, but when I was a kid I use to have these Euro Football Cards (that kids collect) My most priceless card, and rarest, because nobody else in my school managed to get one was Dynamo Tbilisi. You mentioning that brought it all back to me!! Great times indeed, so thank you!
Aww, sweet
everyone dreams about Paris but it's a dirty city overcrowded with tourists and tourist traps. if people knew about Prague, they would go there instead, all the romance people think they are going to get in Paris
Nördlingen, Germany. The anime Attack on Titan was designed with that city in mind. Very pretty place.

That's a weird shortlist, it should be ten times as long! I would definitely agree about Tiflis, as I have seen fantastic pictures from it and would love to visit. I can't really agree about Saloniki, though. I have been there twice and the parts I have seen were a sprawling mix of quite ugly buildings, commercial areas and loud roads.
I consider Tbilisi an Asian city, otherwise I would agree that it's underrated. I'll put it as an honorable mention just for you. Mine would be, in no particular order...
Gdańsk

Strasbourg

Valletta

Sighişoara

Ljubljana
I posted pictures and you GAG didn't give me Superb Opinion?🖕
Probably Gag disagrees with about Tbilisi being Asian 😛
Sighisoara looks like that town in the old Hovis advert...
@CaptainSmartass I don't know what that is, but I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed a commercial there
It's a brand of bread. You can probably find the ad on youtube. Just look up 'hovis advert'.
@CaptainSmartass Looks like it was filmed in Shaftesbury, England
I saw a pic of a (German?) city built in the basin of an asteroid strike. I think that was so cool it would be underrated.
Back in the day I guess they thought if we build here we won't need to invest in city walls. I really really want to see it but they didn't give the name damn it.
considering your hometown there, you know your city is good, i believe you it is under rated.
The Netherlands has always seemed like an underrated vacation spot, so I'm not surprised a Dutch city would make this list.
Tuscany, if You knew the History predating Rome, earth would be a much older and less frightening place.
Bruges, Belgium.
You should see the alcoves. It's like a fucking fairytale.
Lugano, Switzerland. Nancy, France. Lindau, Germany. Bregenz, Austria. Hannover, Germany. Aveiro, Portugal. Brugge, Belgium. Bergen, Norway.
I'm not going to say, lest they become popular! LOL
I liked Batumi better😅
Bruge. Verona. Not sure about Spain yet. That’s next year.
