Would you particpate in "taking out" some Florida Pythons?

There's a competition through August 18th to kill as many as you can. If you do, you win a prize... $10,000.

Pythons are apparently, not very dangerous to humans... the only known deaths are via domestic pets, but they are spreading too fast in Florida and damaging other wildlife. So Florida is eliminating as many as they can to manage the population.

Can't they be transported somewhere else instead?

Maybe burma take them. Its sad but seems noone wants them. I wonder if they could catch… fix… release… like cats. Or move in miee big cats.

There's no guarantee they'd not share diseases or such to Burma's native population that may not have the immune systems to deal with it. It's not worth the risk.

They are a non native invasive species. Literally can't kill enough of them. Same as wild hogs.

Their population started when a breeder facility was damaged by a hurricane if I remember rightly!
