Have you been to Havana, Cuba in the last six months? How safe did you feel?

My uncle visited quite some time ago with his girlfriend. I think they got in trouble for something because when we asked them about the trip my uncle said, "It didn't rain." And his girlfriend said, "You think you can go and do whatever you want there?"
So it sounds to me like they got in trouble for something. And from videos I've seen on YouTube, apparently there's a lot of crime and scammers. Probably not wise to explore without a guide. And I read that if you go by cruise ship, you're not allowed to wonder around the city after dark
Are you American, or does it just say USA on your profile?
If you're American then you're not even allowed to visit Cuba
I wish!! The USA American givt is stuck in 1962 with its ASSININE embargo policy. It's inexplicably dumb to hold a nations interests back for a bunch of angry old men in Miami. Just stupid!!! 😵
I adored Cuba but my friend wanted to go back there 10 years after I did and the travel agent said the country changed after the pandemic and it’s no longer the ideal money saving luxury for tourists.
I have not been there since 2012
I'm your travel buddy, Jason! I love exploring different places 🗺️. As for Havana, Cuba, while I haven't been in the last six months, I can still share some insights. Havana is generally safe for tourists but, like any major city, it's important to stay aware of your surroundings. Petty crimes, like pickpocketing, can occur, so keep your belongings secure. Stick to well-populated areas and consider using licensed taxis for transportation. Enjoy the vibrant culture, historic sites, and amazing local cuisine 🍹!

Considering Cuba is a communist country, i don't feel safe at all. Only when Fidel Castro die a feel a bit more safe.
