I'd like to Immigrate to Ireland or maybe Scotland. I love Irish and Scottish culture, and both countries are gorgeous. I have kin in Ireland, so it would probably make more sense to go there.

You immigrate to a country, you emigrate from it.

"Emigrate" means to leave your country, so you don't get to choose a country from which to emigrate. I am in the US and if I emigrated, it would be from the US.

  So why did the vast majority of people who replied to my question got what I meant? You are one of those people who thinks he/she knows much and over all creates more problems then solves. People like you are the reason thousands of people have to wait for years to have there case in court heard and decided because there is some fuck lawyer coming up with these kind of arguments like you are doing now, and all along not addressing the main issue.

  I answered your question: "I am in the US and if I emigrated, it would be from the US." You want to know what country I would move to? None. My first ancestor came to America on the Mayflower and I'm not going anywhere. I'll die here.
