My favourite city so far is Las Vegas and Sydney but I will add a disclaimer, that I only like those cities in the short term.

Las Vegas is not a good place to live in the summer due to intense heat, and Sydney might not have a good social demographic if you want to live long enough to build connections and relationships with others, I read there is a high rate of domestic abuse there.

I also like Barcelona because of the amazing food and culture but I realize Barcelona is not ideal at night time because the streets are noisy until 4:00 a. m. so falling asleep is very hard, I was only there for 3 days so I was perfectly okay with reduced resting hours for a few days of my vacation but would not want to have ongoing resting problems for years and years because of noisy streets.

And I like Beijing as a place to visit but I realize if you live there, it would be a nightmare to travel to work every morning, especially because they limit how many people can buy cars due to high demand and low road space for citizens and the subways are packed to the brim with people in the mornings so if there is unexpected event, the entire city is affected.
