What would you do if you booked a WINDOW SEAT on your flight and found there was NO WINDOW?

You booked the flight you wanted and selected your seat, a window seat. You even paid extra for it. You feel good because you really dislike aisle and middle seats.

When you get on the plane and find your seat, you realize there's no window, just a wall.

What do you do?

Note: On some planes, there is one window seat on each side of the plane that doesn't have a window. Instead, a plain wall, behind which cables and a/c ducting is routed.

Such a funny question! I would wait for the others to pass huge boarding line, small aisle and before we take off talk to the flight attendant, OR talk to the person in front of me to see if we could switch. IF they refuse for some reason, I would offer earplugs and gum. Earplugs for crying babies, gum for ear popping.

Of course I would wait until everyone deboarded the plane and speak with the Captain when he was getting off the plane.
Ya gotta go to the top, otherwise you just get blown off and they wouldn't do anything about it.

I would attempt one call to the airlines customer service department and if that did not result in an apology and a refund, i would file a claim against the airline for fraud.

@exitseven Here's the way airlines view it. There are 3 kinds of seats: aisle, middle, window. This seat is not an aisle of middle seat, so it must be a window seat, which is what you paid for. What's the problem? You got what you wanted.

I actually DID pay extra for a window seat on a round trip with Allegiant. I got one on the way out, but not on the way back. The wind was there, but I got a middle seat. I wasn't a matter of taking a first class or business window configuration and adding more seats to make it an economy section as in the pic.

I look at the seating plan when I book and if you're a regular flyer you can guess reasonably accurately where the blank wall is going to be.

As long as the screen and headphones work I'm ok as mostly the flights I take are overnight.
