Would you rather live on the moon or on mars?

The moon. I would be able to see the earth clearly and recognize a boot shaped country I like a lot. Probably the only boot shaped country on our planet. I'd also be able to see that borders between countries, other than natural borders like mountain ranges and rivers, are men's invention and that there is no such thing. The view would also enhance the perception that our planet is quite unique and that we're just spinning and floating within a vast dark void.

With the current state of technology, travelling to Mars would be a one way trip. We might just make it there within an astronaut's life span. No return ticket.

I’d pick Mars.

The Moon feels too empty and exposed, while Mars at least has a bit more depth to it , a sense that you could actually build something there.

It’s still harsh, but it feels less like just surviving and more like there’s a chance to create a life.

Between the Moon and Mars, I’d pick Mars. It has an atmosphere (thin, but still), more space to explore, and day/night cycles similar to Earth. The Moon feels more like a short-term base; Mars feels like a real frontier city waiting to grow. Mars wins for long-term living 🚀🪐

Both are incredibly hostile environments. I guess if I had to choose, I'd go with the moon, because it's slightly less hostile.  Either place, though, one broken window and you're dead.

Mars, it has a atmosphere that the Moon doesn't have, and its gravity is closer to Earth's. Terraforming Mars into an Earth like environment is theoretically possible, but not on the Moon.
