Miss South Africa was doing a soup drive for orphaned children in Africa. She posts a picture of her doing so. Suddenly, the media is in an uproar because of her wearing latex gloves! To be honest I do not see anything wrong. Some of the children were tested HIV positive, what's the harm in wanting to protect herself? Even if the kids were of a different race, I am sure she would still wear gloves if they were tested HIV positive. People need to look on the bright side, she decided to feed these children instead of doing other things. On Twitter, there is a trending hashtag that makes fun of what Miss South Africa did (#MissSAChallenge). I do not feel she deserves the hate, what do you think? Why or why not?

Omg people are so fucking stupid. There are SOO many pc whiny bitches on the internet. Like, the fact that she's even spending her time for charity is good and shows she's a great person and the media and people often look past good deeds to find anything that to make news more interesting. Like anyone complaining should go donate their time to charity to kids with this background and show us how it's really done by not wearing protection for yourself and for the protection of the kids. Risk getting a disease and die.
It is not racist but white gloves has been connected to racism historically. That said it was only briefly but it stuck around because of a tenuous connection with Disney (such as Mickey Mouse).
The people who considers this racist has already forgotten why and just stuck with "Its racist because its racist".

HIV is not transmissible through the hands. She's not protecting herself from HIV. When you serve food you wear gloves to protect the person who eats the food from illnesses that food handlers can commonly transmit.
Not rascist. No it's probably necessary for hygiene not for her but for the kids with HIV as they have weaker immune systems also when I get food served to me at subway or whatever I prefer they wear gloves. As far as I remember even in the school cafeteria the food servers wore gloves. If this woman was non-white no one would have said anything about her gloves therefore anyone who kicks up a stink about this is a rascist or a race baited.
She probably wanted to keep things clean and sanitary and was instructed to wear that during the event. Food prep workers here where white latex gloves.
