Over 20% of Israel is Muslim, there are substantial ethnic minorities, Jews from all over the world come to live there with all specific cultures (ethiopoian, Yemenites, russian, European, Arab). There is plenty of diversity, I'd argue not less than lots of European countries.

Israeli lobby is quite normal if you have Jews related to Israel with money in the government, the inevitable thing is that you get a lobby. It works the same as Arab lobby in the UN and just about any other lobby in any government on the planet. The foreign policy of most countries does not serve Israel's interests. No country acknowledges the annexation of east Jerusalem, countries have started boycotting products from the Westbank, almost every country wants a two state solution even if it means splitting Jerusalem (against Israel's interests).
