The country. That area had and will probably always be fought over because of religion.

1948- No country wanted poor Jews. The Nazis stole their money. No one wanted poor Jewish immigrants. Antisemitism and anti immigration in one dumbass thought.

Most of you can relate.

So the Brits give them their land which was supposed to be owned by the Palestinians. So theyre pissed. And every goddamn country bordering agreed. Not the best long term solution.

But that’s what the Jewish Congress wanted for decades before the war and their people went through literal hell. So I get it. But it just lacks compromise and long term critical thinking.

And thousands of lost lives because of dumbass religions. That really pisses me off. Not as much as the holocaust. But 9/11 could've been foreseen by us funding Israel all those years. Which I’m not saying was a mistake.

I just think some nice land in the Bahamas woulda worked better. But they chose the temple of Solomon.

The land in Israel was ruled by the ottomans up until ww1. There has never been a Palestinian homeland or people up until 1948. Palestine is the old Latin name for the province of Israel and Syria in the old Roman Empire. There has always been Jews in Israel, many more migrated before ww1, after ww1 and after ww2. They bought land. The British were the last in a long line of Empire's who conquered the holy land.
What happened was that in 1948 the UN made it so that both Jews and Palestinian could rule themselves on the lands they lived on but the Palestinians and neighbouring Arabs couldn't accept it and launched a war to wipe out all the Jews out in the holy land in a 2nd holocaust but they lost this war and profited their territory.
You see this everywhere in the Muslim world where non-muslim groups are not allowed to rule themselves and are persecuted.
