I have a theory about this issue where some female teacher gets smashed by some male student (s):
1. Even with all the time off that they get , teaching is a very time consuming profession. Many teachers work off the clock long hours into the night and even on weekends. I have a buddy of mine who used to teach and he would spend anywhere from 15-20 hours of off the clock work ( grading, calling parents , lesson planing etc).
If you are single not a lot of time and energy to meet other singles.
If you are married not a lot of time / energy to spend with the hubby.
2. Many of the young guys that these female teachers are bedding are not the nerdy goody goody types. They are not sleeping with the captain of the chess club or the next NASA engineer or the quiet shy kid who gets nervous around the pretty girls.
So who are they messing around with?
Its the bad boys. The guys who are telling the teacher to fu#@ off, the guys who are skipping class and getting into fights. The bad boys that have the girls in school getting all wet for them.
This right here means two things
1. Woman are always attracted to bad boys. No matter what their age. It always has been that way it and always will be that way. A female teacher sees this and... tingle.
2. Pre-selection kicks in. What does that mean? Every man that has ever walked the face of the Earth know that woman are always attracted to the man that is already spoken for and/or the man that has multiple ladies after him. Woman will often want a man because other woman want him. Tingle...
Combine these two factors together and you have...
... tingle... tingle... tingle... tingle...
True , none of these teachers should be doing this but this is hard wired into woman's brains.
Anyways , my 2 cents.
I just think it's being reported more so it's more balanced.
That being said, sleeping with a minor, regardless of gender is weird and gross.
Most probably balanced reporting...
Some time ago people didn't even believe men could be raped... by a woman.
Now these kinds of issues are expected to be equalized within both genders.
It doesn't matter if it's a woman who's older or the man - they're both creeps - even if it was consensual.
I think it's a couple things. Balanced reporting, men teachers are aware of the risks so there are less of them and women teachers don't think (through societies rules) that what they are doing is wrong.

It doesn't happen that often. Plus it's kind of stupid to even bother.

tbh i think the kids should get in the same trouble because the teacher can't have sex with the student w/o them. than they play victim so they dont get in trouble
I think it's been happening, it just didn't get the attention before. Something will replace it next week and then it'll happen again
I've noticed every week since the start of 2017, there are 2-3 female teachers getting caught for having sex with students.
to show that it's not just male teachers.. it's females too
Most of the women who've been caught are rather ugly. They must really make an effort to screw underage kids.
They all look like rapist expect the 3 one. Lol hahah
It is nothing new. A teacher had sex with students back in my highschool days.
It's more prevalent and guys having a bigger ego. You don't say a word
anytime it is a female teacher it gets sensationalized and overblown. so, no.
