Why do some teacher-student scandals in the U. S seem to involve female teachers and younger students?

As it says in the topic, I never heard about it in any other countries and in my country but when I hear about it, I find out its just always U. S and why is that?

The US, more than any other western nation, has an absolutely tragic track record for recognizing, acknowledging and treating mental illness.
We’re also in this weird “justice” limbo thanks to our dumbf*ck two-party system. These crimes have always happened. We’ve only recently started arresting and charging women. Many liberals think it’s misogynistic to hold women to the same legal standards as men. Many conservatives think male victims should just “man up”, even if they’re children.
The only country on Earth to charge a woman with a sex crime against a grown man is Norway. It happens all the time, but nobody cares. A few years ago we couldn’t even get these female child predators charged. I guess we’re supposed to take that as a “win”.

Female peadophilles exist but largely sexual misconduct by a woman is ignored as women are generally treated as they are children with special needs unable to be held accountable for their actions and only be victims. What about all the cases of women prison guards taking advantage of male prisoners?

I've a cousin who had sex and knocked his teacher up at 13, as soon as he turned 18 out of the blue she hit him up for child support.

Because everyone expects men to be sexually involved with female students. One hundred eyes are watching every male teacher. Therefore, they dare not take the risk, plus the student, when unhappy, will snitch, and the penalties are horrendous.

No one expect female teacher to be involved with a male student. Therefore, no one is watching. Moreover, the boys are not snitches so the risk is tiny and the penalties are a slap on the wrist.

Well, it's impossible for them to involve older people or it wouldn't be in the headlines. I think it's actually less common with women teachers than male teachers, but that is why it's newsworthy.
