She was sentenced to 3 years.

My question is if the judge really felt that, why such a short sentence?

Ugh!! Just 3 years? Why don't the law give life long sentence to freaking disgusting perverts who broke the trust of parents when they sent their kids to school hoping their child studies and become something in life and hope that their kids teacher will be their guide, their mentor... When I read/hear cases like that it makes me really scared and I feel like I'd be paranoid leaving my kid alone with a teacher. Can't find out who's trustworthy and who's not. People who are supposed to be kids mentor and protect the kids- are exploiting them instead... It must be any parents worst nightmare.

For real. Not saying that this should make any difference. But this was an all boys Catholic school. So you'd think their hiring standards would be more stringent making this less likely to happen as well.

Our system is so messed up. It makes me feel helpless that kids are at risk. Paedophiles gets so released. I can't even do anything about it. The only thing I could do is protect my child. Make sure he/she isn't alone and make sure if I'm not around they will be in the care of people I know very well and trust and teach my kids what sort of behaviour is okay and what an behaviour/touch is not okay. Whether teacher does it, doctor or anyone else's and they must tell me if anyone ever made them feel uncomfortable

No idea why both men and women get off with light sentences. Famously, for example, Brock Turner got 6 months and only served 3 for his raping of a woman. Others have received no real punishment for their crimes because they had a bright future and the judge didn't want to ruin that. Mostly the rich can get away with it.

This sick woman should definitely have received a longer sentence as should anyone who rapes another, especially a child.

Men get 3 MONTHS in prison for raping a lady, despite more severe added pain, so "punished a lady more than 3 months," for statutury is corrupt. I have several screenshots if i can find some.

And in britian too. I can't find the old screenshot, that i took of three month punishment, i probably published it in a mytake here. but worse... no jail, so punishing a woman longer is corrupt especially considering a lady victim has more pain than a "consent that is not recognized as consent".

Joking aside, something is messed up in the US school system, and it's not just the teachers.

Yeah. I highlighted the fact that it was YET AGAIN another female teacher because this keeps happening more frequently. I remember when I was high school student Mary Kay Letourneau making national news getting pregnant by one of her students. But you didn't hear stuff like this. Now it's like we're hearing about it every few months. Is it just because teaching is predominantly female (76%)? Or are women changing as whole and something is driving this?
