On a scale from "Eating Tide Pods" to "Don't Judge Me" challenge, this is somewhere in between. Not the worst Internet trend I've ever seen, not even by a mile, but it definitely leans towards Don't Judge Me. My main questions are "What viral marketing campaign started this?" and "What are they selling?" because there is absolutely no way some ordinary, unknown dumb teen concocted this idea in their spare time and everyone else decided to copy them for the lolz. This had to have been staged by a marketing agency or beauty-focused YouTuber or Instagram star. I mean, yes, it COULD have been some no-name person who originally posted this to social media, let's be honest: this is not the early days of the Internet anymore; people with no clout or reputation generally don't propagate ideas very far, especially when it comes to the domain of human attractiveness. We (generally) only look to more attractive people to decide for us what the barometer to desirability is.
Why would I say that? Because most or all of the girls featured in this video (and probably all the ones who participated in the challenge and uploaded it to social media--whatever it's called) are at least somewhat stereotypically attractive. They are "hot chicks", copying the actions of some "authority figure" (because I guarantee not a single one of them woke up in the morning and thought to themselves "y'know what? I bet I would look even more attractive, if I superglued by upper lip to my philtrum") and only an Influencer has that kind of power.
I think it's likely not widespread but will become so if the media keeps talking about it. That's what happened with the tidepod challenge. Over the course of a month there had only been about 112 videos of it on youtube, once the media covered it, 10x that number of videos were published in a week. I think we should stop giving attention to this sort of thing as it isn't helpful and has a way of encouraging it even if our words are all condemnation. As the saying goes, all publicity is good publicity.

Superglue will only hold the weight of your upper lip for maybe an hour or 2, so not quite an effective fuller lip solution compared to 4-12hr lip plumping cosmetics.

It's so odd, because big lips were made fun of when I was a teenager. We would put lipstick on beneath our lip lines to make them seem smaller.
Sometimes we did it for laughs, but seriously it sucked so.

It really seems like people are getting stupider all the time. Super glue specifically says on the label to keep it off of your skin. Itās not made as a cosmetic product and shouldnāt be used as one. For the most part I do believe that they (most of the girls) are using a adhesive agent that is safe to put on human skin like liquid latex, eyelash glue, and or spirit gum. I think many guys like and even prefer natural thin lips. That doesn't seem to be the trend on instagram though. Every white girls I think I've seen on there has full lips, but then white girls with full lips is pretty rare in reality unless you are talking about eastern Europeans so I figure they use some kind of short term product that I'm unaware of. Glue sniffers dont put it up their noses the put it in a bag and inhale through that because its the vapour they inhale in the same way these people do. I would say the bottle thing is safer as the risk is shattering the bottle if its glass.
